Poke Poku Hawaiian Poke Bar At Rainbow Boulevard

Poke Poku Hawaiian Poke Bar At Rainbow Boulevard Hawaiian restaurant

Overview

Walking into Poke Poku Hawaiian Poke Bar At Rainbow Boulevard feels like stepping into a laid-back island lunch spot, even though you’re right in the middle of Las Vegas. The location at 7460 S Rainbow Blvd #105, Las Vegas, NV 89139, United States is easy to spot, and there’s usually a steady stream of locals popping in for quick bowls or relaxed sit-down meals. I first stopped by after a workout nearby, and that visit turned into a regular habit once I realized how consistent the food and service were.

This Poke Poku Hawaiian Poke Bar stands out because of how much control you get over your meal. The menu walks you through a simple process: choose a base like sushi rice or mixed greens, pick your protein, layer sauces, then finish with toppings. Watching the staff build bowls in front of you is part of the fun, and they’re quick to explain differences between ahi tuna, salmon, tofu, or chicken if you’re unsure. I’ve noticed they take real care in handling the fish, keeping everything chilled and clean, which matters a lot with raw ingredients.

One thing I appreciate is their focus on fresh fish and clean flavors. According to data from organizations like the American Heart Association, raw fish such as tuna and salmon are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which support heart health. That lines up with how I feel after eating here: satisfied but not weighed down. When I order the classic tuna bowl with sesame oil and seaweed salad, it tastes balanced rather than overloaded with sauce, which isn’t always the case at other poke spots.

The staff clearly knows their ingredients. On one visit, I asked about the difference between spicy mayo and their house shoyu blend, and the explanation was surprisingly detailed, down to how soy fermentation affects saltiness. That kind of knowledge builds trust. It also matches what many customer reviews mention: friendly service, clear explanations, and patience with first-timers who don’t know how poke works.

Another plus is consistency. I’ve ordered the same salmon bowl multiple times over several months, and the portion size and flavor barely changed. In the restaurant world, that’s not easy to pull off. Restaurants that rely on fresh seafood often struggle with supply swings, yet this place manages it well. There are occasional seasonal limitations, and the staff is honest about it, which I actually appreciate more than pretending everything is always available.

The dining room itself is casual, with simple tables and a relaxed vibe that fits both solo lunches and small groups. Many diners grab takeout, but eating in lets you enjoy the bowl before the rice cools and the textures change. Based on conversations I’ve had while waiting in line, a lot of regulars work or live nearby, which says a lot about local trust.

If you’re comparing poke spots around Las Vegas, this location consistently earns strong reviews for quality and value. Prices are reasonable for fresh seafood, and portions are filling without being excessive. While I can’t speak for every item on the menu, my experiences have been reliably good, and any minor limitations, like peak-hour waits, are manageable and understandable for a popular neighborhood spot.

This is by far the best Poke bowls in town. The service is always exceptional especially when Angela and Grouver are working. The food’s very fresh and flavorful with so many different ingredients to choose from. We always get our bowls with the Hawaiian style sauce because it’s absolutely delicious. Overall, we love coming to this location and appreciate everyone who has helped us.

If you don’t want a bowl full of rice don’t bother! They give you a tablespoon of meat per cup of rice and it’s ridiculous. They should be ashamed to allow anyone to pay for a large and and not even fill the bowl half way. **** Update**** I decided to give this place another try and Kalani was so amazing and he made my bowl so good that I needed to change my previous review.
